||Most academic libraries are exploring the possibilities of introducing electronic formats to improve their overall service to users. It is important to remember, however, that though these may offer indisputable benefits, they may also bring problems and disadvantages.This paper seeks to examine the potential educational benefits and disadvantages of providingeasily accessible and carefully selected key course texts and other course-related materials in an electronic format.
