summary Open access refers to peer-reviewed scientific and scholarly literature that are made available online to readers without access or restrictive barriers. The purpose of this workshop is to provide an in-depth look at one of the most immediate and cost-effective routes of providing open access to the literature, namely institutional self-archiving.
